1. How many children are in each group?
Each group has a minimum of 2 children and a maximum of 6 children.
2. How are the age, developmental level, and gender demographics of each group matched?
Children are matched by both age and developmental ability level. We strive to include all genders in each of our groups, however, group roster is filled on a first come first serve basis. If you are unsure which group to register your child in, please select a group to the best of your ability and leave a note in your Intake Questionnaire. Your group facilitator will make any necessary recommendations regarding best fit.
3. What methods and activities are utilized to teach children social skills?
At Kidspace, we pair structured learning activities, collaborative group projects and dramatic play to encourage positive social interaction. We pull learning concepts from the evidence based curriculums Social Thinking and the Zones of Regulation. More information on these curriculums can be found below:

4. How do I know what the specific topics and focus of my child's group will be?
Group topics and concepts will be introduced at the introductory parent training during week two. Parents will also receive weekly handouts and strategies for the home environment.
5. Will I receive feedback about my child's progress throughout the course of the group?
Parents are invited to participate in a Zoom training during the second week of each series. Weekly, parents will be provided with a general update of group during pickup. After the final session, parents will join a Q&A with the facilitator for group questions, followed by private recommendations and progress. Additional check-ins are available at our hourly billing rate of $188 per hour.
6. How do I pay the fee for the group?
The full fee amount is due at the time of "purchase" which signifies your commitment to the full 8-week series.
7. Will my insurance cover the cost of group?
If we are in network with your insurer, please contact them directly to inquire about coverage for group services, as they are typically billed differently than individual services. If we are not in network with your insurer, please contact them directly to discuss the possibility of an out-of-network reimbursement claim. All necessary coding required by insurance companies will be provided on the invoice. It is the responsibility of our clients to submit the paid invoice to insurance for any reimbursement of services rendered.
8. Are masks required?
Masks are optional during group sessions.
