General Rules
- Maximum capacity of the clinic is 60 percent, only 4-5 sessions are allowed simultaneously, therapists guide children to observe social distancing when necessary.
- All staff and individuals entering the clinic are required to wear a mask or face covering, with the exception of children who are unable to remain masked. Adult and child size masks are made available at the clinic.
- All individuals who enter the clinic must complete a health screening/entry questionnaire and a temperature check before entering. A 'Yes' answer to any of the questions or detection of a fever of ≥ 100.4◦ F will result in the appointment being rescheduled.
- Our clinicians follow CDC recommendations for sanitization and hand-washing, which includes cleaning hands and requiring children to clean hands before and after each session.
Waiting Room Protocol
- The waiting room is open.
- We understand that city and county guidelines are shifting, but as a pediatric therapy clinic, we operate as a healthcare facility, and all individuals in the waiting room are required to remain masked at all times.
Illness Cancellation Policy
- Kidspace will not bill for any appointments cancelled due to symptoms of illness or COVID-19 exposure via family, community, or in-person school campus.
- As a courtesy, please notify your therapist 24 hours prior to your appointment time if you observe symptoms of illness in your child or if you are notified of a COVID-19 exposure.
- In the case of sudden onset of symptoms or sudden notification of an exposure, please try to notify your therapist by 9am on the day of your appointment or at least 2 hours prior to your appointment time.
- Kidspace therapists are happy to accommodate rescheduling session(s) or moving session(s) to telehealth until it is safe for your child to return to in-clinic services.
- Should you, your child, or anyone in your household test positive for COVID-19, please reach out to your therapist to arrange rescheduling/telehealth and report the date and time of your child's last appointment so that Kidspace may complete mandatory contact tracing protocols.
- Following a positive case of COVID-19, your household must complete the mandatory 10-day quarantine period and provide proof of negative test results within 72 hours of your first appointment back in the clinic.
